Els De-Vrijer

Els graduated in 2019 from the University of Bristol and joined us immediately after graduation, working here as an intern veterinary surgeon for two years. After a period of work at a referral hospital near London she worked for a number of years as a locum vet treating animals all over the world, from a small street dog clinic in the Caribbean to a charity veterinary hospital in Vancouver. She is delighted to be back as a permanent staff member on both the Taverham and Norwich Night Vet teams. Her particular interest is in Emergency and Critical Care and she is currently studying for her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in this area. Nevertheless, she enjoys all aspects of the job, from abdominal and laparoscopic surgery to dealing with a complicated diabetic case! In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, horse riding, and walking her unruly Border Collie cross, "Timber", on the Norfolk beaches.
