Jo Spellman-Marriott

I grew up in Norfolk and identified from an early age that I wanted to spend my life working with animals. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2006 and gained experience working in several different practices around the UK. When I first came to Taverham as a summer locum in 2009 I realised that this was a pretty special practice with a fantastic caring team and decided that Taverham was the place I wanted to be. After completing and internship at Cambridge University I came back to Taverham in 2011 and have been here ever since. 

Since joining Taverham I have achieved post-graduate certificates in Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging and love working in these areas; I particularly enjoy emergency medicine and ultrasound. I am also keen on surgery, especially keyhole surgery which I feel is highly beneficial for our patients. I became a Clinical Director in 2018 and am so proud to be part of an incredible team of people who all work so hard together with a genuine passion to provide the highest level of care for all of our patients. 

I have a labrador and a terrier who were both rehomed and are highly important members of my family (along with my husband and two young children). As well as spending time with my family I enjoy getting out in the Norfolk countryside and beaches.
